3- wöchiges German ESL Program in Houston Texas

Communication in English with people from around the world.
Everyone can easily talk to each other when there is a common subject.

Well, this is a short impression of a three week English program for about ten German students of the bbs|me  Hanover in Houston Texas. It is already the ninth group that attended the so called German ESL-Program.

ESL means English as Second Language. F.e. all the immigrants in the USA have to go to such an ESL-course, because English is not their mother tongue.  So, when we started this program with the Houston Community College in the year 2000 the former program coordinator Sandy Wilkins-King called it German-ESL-program.

The program provides a mixture of:



  • Basic English skills
  • English at workplace
  • Business English
  • Field Trips to American companies
  • Communication with everyone you meet in Texas and Lousianna like
  • German consulate in Houston Texas,
  • American ESL-Class students,
  • Your host and host's family,
  • Felipe Reyes the program coordinator,
  • waiters and waitresses during lunch,
  • the shop assistants while shopping.

 

 

It fits. The American students help Andreas while picking food from a huge cold buffet during the good-bye-party of the ESL-students for the German guests.
